Did you know?

SEBA, The Office of the Sheriff and The Department of Risk Management have come together to address the delays members are running into when navigating the Workers' Compensation process. The formal name for this collaboration is Alternative Dispute Resolution or ADR. As part of this agreement, you now have access to a member advocate here at SEBA.

My name is Melissa Burroughs, and my job is to determine where the process has ground down to a stop and get it moving again. Having gone through it myself, I understand the urgency of time in relation to the limited benefits provided. If you have any further questions please contact me at (909) 885-6074 or via email.

To signup for SEBA text alerts, please log in to the Member Portal and simply click on SIGN UP FOR SEBA TEXT ALERTS. It takes 30 seconds, and don't worry... we don't like spam either.

NEW OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH CLINIC IN HIGH DESERT

The San Bernardino County Risk Management Department has developed a list of specified occupational health clinics as Preferred Providers to provide treatment for common work-related injuries and illnesses.

There was only one Keystone location in the High Desert. A second Keystone location has been added to serve High Desert members.

It is located at 17310 Bear Valley Road, Suite 101, Victorville 92395. They are open Monday through Friday from 9am to 6 pm. For more information, call (909) 453-3255.

IN THE COMMUNITY: SHOP WITH A COP BACK TO SCHOOL EDITION

We had a great time kicking off our SEBA Back to School Shop With a Cop: Teacher's Edition at Wrightwood Elementary School. The purpose of this program is to reward terrific teachers in San Bernardino County for their selfless commitment to the children they serve.

Over the course of the next month, SEBA will distribute $40,000 to teachers at 16 events countywide. This wouldn't be possible without the help of over 100 donors.

Thank you to all of our members, our amazing donors, SEBA Events Director Mike Tulisiak, County Superintendent Ted Alejandre and all of our partners at San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools!
