SEBA EVERYDAY HEROES

Every day, SEBA members, including deputies, probation corrections officers, DA investigators, and other law enforcement professionals, go beyond the call of duty. Not just through enforcement, but through the relationships they build, the trust they earn, and the compassion they show within the communities they serve.

The SEBA Everyday Heroes Program was created to recognize and support those moments.

This program highlights the meaningful connections our members form with individuals, families, and children they encounter, often during difficult or life changing circumstances. Whether it is a relationship built over time or a single moment where someone needs help, these interactions leave a lasting impact on both sides.

When appropriate, SEBA is also able to support these efforts in a tangible way, including providing financial assistance to help meet immediate needs and strengthen the positive difference our members are already making.

At its core, this program is about honoring the stories that often go unseen, the quiet acts of care, mentorship, and humanity that remind us why this profession matters.

It also gives our members the opportunity to give back in a deeper, more personal way. If you know someone in need or have a story to share, we encourage you to get involved.

Our Everyday Heroes program is important because it recognizes the human side of this profession. Our members are building real relationships in the community every day, and this program allows us to support those moments in a meaningful way. We are incredibly grateful to our donors who make this possible and help extend that impact even further.
— Alisha Rosa, SEBA President

Through the Everyday Heroes Program, SEBA was able to support Deputy Art Satterwhite in his efforts to give back to the community by helping provide gloves and protective gear for local kids participating in his free boxing program. What started as a simple need became an opportunity to strengthen relationships, build trust, and create a positive experience for youth who look up to those serving them.

We met Freddy at our Shop With A Cop Christmas event last month and he is a remarkable young boy. You wouldn't know it by looking at him or talking to him, but Freddy suffers from HLA-B27. It is a rare, incurable autoimmune disease, which attacks the soft tissue and cartilage and causes pain and damage to the joints, tendons, ligaments and eyes.
