Social Security Fairness Act Repeals Unfair Rule Affecting Public Employees
After years of unequal application of the Social Security laws, the Social Security Fairness Act will increase Social Security benefits for millions of current and former public employees who receive a pension from their public employment to the extent that they also contributed to Social Security. Please keep in mind as San Bernardino County Employees we did not pay into Social Security. This new law affects those who have paid into Social Security and have enough credits to benefit from Social Security.
