California Peace Officer Memorial

This month's Member Spotlight is dedicated to all of our fallen officers who were honored May 2, 2022, at the California Peace Officer Memorial in Sacramento.

The names of Sgt. Dominic Vaca and Detective Armando Cantu were added to the memorial wall, along with two names from the distant past: Marshal James West and Officer Harry Thompson, both from the Needles Police Department.

Negotiations Update

SEBA continues its formal meeting with the County Friday afternoon to consider the possibility of amending our current contract in order to receive additional value from the one-time ARPA monies received by the County, as well the possibility of enhancing the existing contract to provide future stability.

These negotiations are in a very preliminary stage and all details of these meetings are confidential, per formal negotiation ground rules established at the onset.

However, if negotiations evolve into any formal, contractual change of the existing MOU, the new contract would be put out to the vote of the entire membership. We will keep the membership informed as the process continues.
